Early-stage K-selection begins in Corsica:
A crowd vandalized a Muslim prayer room in Corsica a day after an ambush injured two firefighters responding to an emergency in a housing project, the state prefect on the French island said Saturday…
The violence began Thursday night, when firefighters responding to an emergency call were ambushed in a housing project in the hills of Ajaccio. It was not clear what prompted that violence.
On Friday, a gathering of about 600 people that started as a show of support for the injured emergency officials led to more violence when several dozen people broke away, headed to the prayer room. There, they threw objects and tried to burn Qurans and prayer books, officials said. They also vandalized a kebab shop…
France’s interior minister, Bernard Cazeneuve, condemned those responsible for going after firefighters. He also said the “intolerable exactions” against the place of worship carried the “odor of racism and xenophobia” and would not go unpunished.
This is dangerous, both because these amygdalae produced enough aversive stimuli to drive violence, and because it felt good, felt righteous, and was probably fun. Those amygdalae just felt aversive stimulus, labored under it, hated it, and then released themselves from it with some good, old-fashioned, Al Bundy-esque rioting. They now have a neural pathway in their amygdalae to release amygdala strain in the future, and I’d expect it to be used again at some point.
What is interesting to me is rabbits seem to have evolved some complex ancient wisdom inherent to their psychology. Even stranger, this complex wisdom is somehow encoded within the simple biological structure of leftist r-strategy-adaptation – amygdala non-development. Somehow it gives them an innate sense that local control is bad for rabbitry, and distant state control is good for it.
If the official quoted at the end were a Coriscan, he would have been mindful of how Corsicans felt, and he would have been less inclined to ally against the locals, in part because he would sympathize with them, in part because he would fear seeing his house firebombed and strafed with bullets in the middle of the night. Rabbits know this, through imbued feelings, or as we know them, instincts.
What makes it seem nonsensical is that as a part of that local populace, if they logically thought about it, you would think the rabbits would prefer local control as it would ostensibly offer them greater power and security themselves. Yet they choose what is best for rabbitry, and what is worst for the K-strategists, seemingly with no consideration of their own agency.
Stranger still, that desire seems oblivious to the practical and logical advantages of this to rabbitry. Indeed, it seems totally blinded to all logic relating to the decision. It is as if each rabbit is a mindless robot in service to the r-selected psychology as a whole. The rabbit doesn’t think or understand the why or the how of what they desire. It is more rooted in an “it-just-feels-good” type of behavioral motivator. Or rather, “it just feels better than one of our own people making major decisions about how we all are going to live.”
It is very strange, when you ponder how a little amygdala non-development, due simply to ease and harshness avoidance, could possibly imbue that sort of a complex ancient preference when presented with the choice of local or distant leadership.
I can only conclude it is a byproduct of the envy inherent to the rabbit’s condition. Once envious of their fellow citizens, it is only natural to want them constrained as much as possible, and as powerless to determine their own fate as possible. How better to accomplish this than to see everyone brought under the uniform despotism of a foreign control – or at least as foreign a control as is feasibly possible within the governing structure. Once the foreign leadership views all locals as restless hostiles to be controlled, all those who do not bow down are destined to have a hard time. Donald Trump does not do so well, once Muammar Khadafy is calling the shots in America, and that is something Bernie Sanders would like to see – very much.
Combined with an envious hatred for everyone around them, and a desire to see none of their compatriots have any power or leadership authority, you have an instant preference for foreign leadership by the other. It certainly gives a different flavor to all the leftist traitors you find throughout history.
Of course this is largely why splintering into smaller local groups is an inevitable part of the K-shift.
The Apocalypse has arrived in Corsica. Now onward to Europe.

I’m good with this.
A distant authority is easily ignored personally, and “interpreted” for the other locals by a rabbit.
Distant authorities both facilitate personal betrayal while allowing you to decide what is “betrayal” to that authority by those around you.
I don’t think it’s strange. The rabbits perceive a distant government as outsider Ks and therefore as allies against their ingroup Ks.
Corsica has a long history of secessionist tendencies and as such Paris is distant indeed.
I suspect that the real reason someone like Sanders would like to see a Khadafy take over America is that he’s an Atheistic Jew, and regards the Muslims as co-belligerents against Christianity.
That people like himself would be among the first to be put up against a wall and shot doesn’t factor into it – at least not the way it should. Atheists are often suicidal at heart – but they don’t want to go alone.
