Signs of Resource Shortage – Congress Seizes Asset Forfeitures

K-selected resource restriction is everywhere:

The Justice Department said this week it is putting off payments “for the time being” to local law enforcement agencies that participate in the federal asset forfeiture program.

The move comes after Congress recently took $1.2 billion from the department’s asset forfeiture fund as part of budget maneuvering.

Under the program, the Justice Department permits local law enforcement to share proceeds of seized assets from investigations in which they participated. But significant cuts to the fund by Congress mean those “equitable sharing” payments are being put on hold.

That program is one of the things I won’t miss when the central government just dissolves, and all that are left are loosely affiliated state governments. It seems too much like levying a limitless fine against a man who may not even have been convicted of any crime.

Again though, the signs are around us. Congress is increasingly robbing Peter to pay Paul, and sooner or later it is all coming down. As that collapse approaches, expect K-strategists to be denied excess funds first, as they are more capable of enduring a sinecure life than dopamine-addicted rabbits.

Case in point, NYC rabbits take money from K-strategists for no real reason:

The New York City Commission on Human Rights has issued rules that fine employers for referring to transsexuals by their real gender.

The new “guidance” (“NYC Pronoun Ban”), which has power to levy hefty fines against “violators” who “discriminate,” is an extension of the New York City Human Rights Law, based on the city’s laws against gender discrimination.

Failing to use an individual;s preferred name or pronoun, under the new ban, will be considered a violation of New York City Human Rights Law, punishable by fines up to $250,000.

“Refusal to use a transgender employee’s preferred name, pronoun, or title (e.g., Ms./Mrs.) may constitute unlawful gender-based harassment,” the new NYC Pronoun Ban reads.

This entire ship is going down, and every one of us should welcome it.

They have to get the money to pay all the people on welfare and food stamps that do nothing with their life from somewhere.
