This makes you wonder if there aren’t 800 ISIS followers in Belgium just waiting on their weapons:
Authorities in the northeastern Italian city of Trieste have confiscated a shipment of nearly 800 shotguns en route from Turkey to Belgium.
Financial police Lt. Gen. Gabriele Baron said Thursday that the shipment had not been properly declared to authorities under laws aimed at preventing arms trafficking.
Seems like a large shipment for a single wholesaler, though demand may be growing now that the apocalypse is in sight.
Turkey does produce some interesting shotguns, including the AR-15 style MK 1919 shotgun:
As well as a mag-fed Short Barreled pump job:
No word on what specifically was in the shipment fortunately, allowing the opportunity for the above gun porn.
In a related story, I remember reading about a guy doing gov’t work in Central America, who happened on 20 HK G-3’s for like $50 a pop (at the time an HK-91, the civvie version in the US, would have been about $1250). He stripped them down, and shipped up everything but the receivers to his family. Then he took the receivers/barrels, and using wood filler, filled in the make and model stampings, front sight apertures, as well as the muzzles and flash hiders. Once those were all filled in and smoothed out, he used bright yellow spray paint over all of it, threw them all in a big box, loose, and labeled them “Bicycle Parts.” Supposedly it sailed through customs, if the story was real.
It would not think it would be quite as much fun as a Christmas morning gun, but I’d imagine it wouldn’t be bad.
Apocalypse – coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

Perfect for hunting rabbits. Better get out of the warrens, if you’re still in one
They were 16 and 20 inch barreled Winchester SXPs. The picture shown in the media looked like some sort of nylon tactical stock model, maybe the Extreme Deer version (from looking at the website.)
