I never tried to get a Concealed Carry permit because LE then knows who carries, and now my state has Constitutional Carry. I was driving my brothers car one time (he has a Concealed Carry permit), and a cop pulled me over for going 5 mph over, which usually doesn’t happen. The first thing he asked me is if I had my concealed weapon on my person. I told him it was my brothers car and I borrowed it, he let me go without a ticket. I’ve always wondered if he ran the tags automatically (plate reader) and it was determined I was a permit holder, and was the reason I was pulled over in the first place.

Back when it came out, I downloaded the episodes and still have them laying around somewhere on a hard drive. Might be time to rewatch it. The show starts with a group of people on a multi-generational mission to another planet. The generation the show focuses on is the middle generation; the children of those who left on the mission in the 1960’s, but it will be their children who complete the mission.
Then it comes out that the entire thing is an experiment, and the ship is in an underground facility. They think they’re in space, and there is an entire team focused on making them continue to think that. As I remember, the show is from the people who gave us Battlestar Galactica (the 2004 version.)

Unfortunately, research across multiple disciplines has concluded that experience-based best practices are generally ineffective. There has been no systematic prior research on improving counterfactual reasoning or lessons learned. The FOCUS program aimed to develop practical, accurate, evidence-based techniques for counterfactual forecasting.
Because we can’t re-run history in the real world, FOCUS methods were evaluated by having hundreds of people make predictions about outcomes in complex simulations.

Late August just after lunch on the south coast of England a friend and me saw a black triangle appear. Flying west just beyond the pier. I’d guess around 500 yards out to sea. About the size of a light aircraft. It moved fast. Too fast to catch it on a camera. It then banked as it flew out to sea and I hoped to see what was on top of it, a tail fin or something. As it disapeared towards the horizon all I could see was a thin pillar like glow on top. Very briefly before it was out of sight. Could have been the sun reflecting on it but didnt look like a tail fin. A few weeks later I checked with friend that he had seen it and he remembered it.
Wonder if Demons responsible for said technology shared their technology with the Governments?
