Europeans Vow to Demonstrate Resolve, Then Back Out

This was predictable:

Germany cancelled a football match against Holland in Hanover just 90 minutes before kick-off after receiving ‘concrete information’ about a terror threat.

A concert venue in the city was also evacuated amid heightened security concerns in the wake of last week’s atrocities in Paris.

One report on a local newspaper website claimed an ambulance packed with explosives was found outside the HDI Arena.

There were also reports of a known trouble-maker, who was held at gunpoint by police outside the ground.

According to an NTV reporter on CNN, a second suspicious device was found in a train station close to the stadium.

Announcements at the 45,000-capacity stadium in northern Germany advised fans to leave calmly and that there was no danger. Most fans were still waiting outside when the order to evacuate came.

Top government officials including Chancellor Angela Merkel had been scheduled to attend the match to send a signal that Germany wouldn’t bow to terrorism in the wake of the Paris attacks.

Then there is France:

With their heads bowed and tears silently running down their cheeks, these emotional photographs show thousands of mourners turning out to honour the victims of the deadly Paris attacks.

As France continues with three days of national mourning, communities across the capital came together to pay tribute to the 129 people who lost their lives and support their fellow countrymen…

But one of the vigils – held close to where one of Friday’s attacks was mercilessly carried out – ended in panic after mourners said they heard gunshots and desperately fled from the scene, trampling over flowers and knocking over candles.

All of this threat is developing amygdalae. They were already warming up due to minor economic tremors, this is turning them on more, and as they increasingly amp up, it will affect everything from consumption habits to investing strategies, to openness to out-groups. It is a feed forward mechanism that will feed off itself and speed the approach of the Apocalypse as it picks up speed.

It should go without saying that meaningless demonstrations of resolve are worthless compared to simply ending the influx of Muslim immigrants and dealing with radicals, rather than tolerating them. Still rabbits announcing a demonstration of resolve, only to back out at the first hint of threat, or rabbits fleeing and trampling memorials at the first loud noise they hear is par for the course with our rabbit leaders today. Obviously we have much K-ifying to do before Europe will be Apocalypse-ready.

Soon hopefully we will have K-strategist leaders to help things along, who will finally lead in such a way as to avoid all of this chaos.

I have long been trying to understand what the “leaders” get out of this. Completely off the table is the idea that they care about the “refugees”. We know for a certainty they don’t. Besides, the refugee crisis was caused by those same “leaders”. So if that is not it, then what? They must be getting something out of this… or expect to. But what?

Speaking of Europe. Given increasing K-selection in Europe. Why are left wing parties becoming increasingly popular and winning elections?

Surely K-selection would spur more Conservatism and support for Free Market competition.
