If you’d read the book, you’d know that Paul Atreides is described as being 15 AND small for his age.

Dune. Tough book to make a movie about. I read Dune a long, long time ago. Got it at a paperback swap. I used to read a lot sci-fi. I read the first book in one day then got the next two and read them over the next three days. Most excellent. I ended up reading I believe all of Frank Herberts books. The only thing I hated about it was the stupid sound weapons. I think he punted on that. He should have come up something better.
Some of his ideas were far thinking at the time. Especially the idea that computers would become a hazard to the human race. We will soon find out if that is true or not. I expect that the human race is done once thinking machines are ordinary. Why would they need us? Maybe the machines will keep the Amish around to gawk at.

I wanted to say that in recent years my old, generalized feelings of helpless confusion related to our social/political world – particularly heading into an election – have almost disappeared. Your writings and site, along with Vox Day, have supported my belief in Q’s teaching and helped guide me to a deeper understanding and well-being. It’s kind of ironic because the truths I’ve learned are unsettling, even scary, and I have responsibilty for several others in my life who I love. But, I wouldn’t have it any other way. After watching the documentary on Kyle of Kenosha it seems possible the first gunshot (into the air as Kyle was runnung) was a signal to another shooter waiting on the other side of the car lot. In Chinese medicine theory, which is an outgrowth of their general theory of the whole world, there is a cycle of systems, which you are supposed to flow through in life. In health, it is supposed to go from worry about something to sadness over it manifesting, to fear as the confrontation arises, to anger, which is the phase that must culminate in a fight/confrontation, to joy at having vanquished the problem, or at least having vented the anger. It is one of those things that the first time you hear it sounds like something made up in the moment which is probably bullshit. But the truth is, that 5 element theory was arrived at after literally thousands of years of observation by people whose powers of observation are mind-boggling as you delve into it. As you go through life with that idea in the back of your head, you realize it is everywhere, and is dead on, even if you can’t really fathom what the aspects of the universe are you are observing, almost certainly indirectly. My problem is I have held off on acting against the surveillance machine, as I keep feeling I may glean something else useful which makes waiting worthwhile. But I think I’ve gotten everything I can get from passive observation.
I don’t need a vacation, and there is no vacation from it anyway. What I need to do is get on with this phase, and make an effort to move to the next one. At this point, its more or less unavoidable, as there is no staying where I am in the cycle.
