A reader sent in this link, an article on the growing anger, where people comment on their rage in the comments afterward.
And the anger is out there, certainly. It is a cold, watchful and mostly private anger, however – not the hot anger which erupts in riots and arson and looting, and which attracts the brief attention of the Island of Major Media Awareness. These ripples that I have listed – and I am certain there are others — are subtle signs of that cold anger, an anger too quiet for our major media organs to notice, save perhaps on those occasions when their comment threads explode.
From the comments:
Something is coming and it will be very unpleasant.
And:
How angry? I no longer think of “liberals” as fellow Americans.
And:
It will not end well, especially for the new “generation” who think sex and gender are elastic.
And:
And when the storm breaks the MSM will be shocked and surprised, having had no idea, you see.
There is more anger at the link.
Cold anger is just the start. I think what is happening is resource restriction, more than leftist overstepping. People’s salaries are not rising as fast as the costs of food, housing, fuel, and all the other things they say shouldn’t be included in the inflation calculations. That has been going on for quite a while now. Years ago the excess income went to vacations, hobbies, toys, and fun which triggered dopamine releases, and kept the masses pacified. Today people bring their work home with them, and have far less excess income for fun. They may not have noticed the change clearly, but less dopamine changes psychologies. When you add in leftist overstepping to focus that irritation, all it takes is one Donald Trump to yell out, “Let’s burn it all down!,” and that cold anger can get hot fast.
Before he knows what happens, he has an army of angry patriots behind him with torches lit.
Apocalypse cometh™
