One of the weirdest things for K-strategists is to enter the bizarre world of r-selection, where not only do people not see any problem with what is wrong, they actually think that what is right is evil. They actually believe in their r-selected morality so much that if you propose a K-selected principle to their children, even one that will help their children avoid diseases and form loyal a pair bond with a monogamous mate, they grow enraged.
If you don’t understand r/K Selection Theory, you don’t understand the world today, and can’t predict what the world will be like tomorrow. It is going to be a wild ride.
I had a thought on this topic hit me out of the blue last night:
In an athiest world where the human being literally has no higher function than to replicate itself, then it would be not only rational but moral to kill those members of the tribe preaching chastity. While my first thought was that you’d want to kill off all the other high-breeding members and leave the low breeding ‘dupes’, the reality is the other r’s only pose a threat to you further down the line when resources become scarce, by which point your genetic material will have significant numbers. But those advocating K-strategy are a threat to you *right now*, shaming you personally from maximizing your reproduction or your first generation – the time when the number of ‘you’ is at its smallest, and thus most vulnerable.
In short, r types must view K types as evil, because only the K type can shut down the r-strategy, *even in a resource rich environment*.
It’s like… okay, if resources run out and we r’s have to battle each other, it’s not personal, it’s business. But these K’s are coming in here and ruining a good time even when there’s no need for it! Evil!

not just with more envy, they want to do us harm. the K’s don’t necessarily care much at all about them.
You need to re-read the article. This wasn’t in a sex-ed course. This was just a flyer distributed by other students in a youth group.
They aren’t even butthurt over a flier. They are butthurt that Christian teens are even sharing information with their precious snowflakes.
