Plague Fugitives Fleeing Hospitals

The third world will be the end of us, or at least the r-strategists:

HOSPITAL patients in Madagascar suffering from the plague are running away from hospitals because they are scared of needles and aren’t used to hospital treatment.

Security guards at the Central Anti-Plague Hospital in Ambohimindra, are tasked with keeping patients in as well as making sure those arriving follow safety procedures.

What that means is these people are getting an initial burst of antibiotics, and then bailing from the hospital and going into hiding, where what microbes survive the initial burst of antibiotics will multiply back up and become the dominant strain in the host.

And even if they defeat this outbreak, in a few months these people will dig up the bodies of the victims to dance with them in the streets, and they will bring it right back.

When this hits Africa, and is antibiotic resistant, it will be a matter of time before those who get hit hop the first plane to the US to get primo medical care at the CDC, and maybe a chance to survive. And then you will have an entire 747 full of exposed infectees deplaning in Atlanta with them and then scattering across America on connecting flights.

All of r produces K – every last bit. From the destructive economic effects destroying resource availability, to the out-group tolerance producing the diversity that breeds conflict, to the embrace of imbeciles who will bring on the pandemic.

Leftism will bring the Apocalypse no matter what anybody does, and they will do it with all of their attempts to create an Apocalypse-proof utopia. It is really ironic.

Tell everyone about r/K Theory, because leftism is the plague we are combatting right now, but it won’t always be that easy

In an earlier age the US authorities quaintly believed in something called “public health”. Now, however, the feelings of minorities and aggrieved victim groups trump any concerns of public health and welfare. In my view it began when we all had to pretend that promiscuous male homosexuality had nothing to do with the spread of AIDS.

Besides, the political class who force these policies on us are well insulated from the effects of those policies. For now.

You’ve been very clear in communicating that leftists aren’t concerned or interested in bringing about what we would understand as Utopia, but what is in truth Dystopia. If there’s anyone ignorant enough to doubt it, you need examine the actions of any leftist throughout history to see that’s their idea of Utopia.

However, I’m betting that when this particular strain of plague gets mobile beyond Madagascar, if any advanced countries get hit first, it’ll be either China, Vietnam, Norway, France, Spain, or Portugal. As for the actions of the Madagascan locals, I’m not entirely surprised. These are people of low trust societies. For them deception is a virtue and so they’re inclined to be profoundly distrustful of each other, let alone those doctors and nurses desperately trying to help them not die from what is at the time that article published, a treatable illness.

They need to quarantine the entire island ASAP. If it were up to me, Id send down two carrier groups and kill anything that tried to get off the island without authorization. At this point, I wouldnt even allow healthy people off the island, because the potential for harm if a mistake is made is simply too great. This inclides relief workers, researchers, etc.

A foreign national on the island who could not understand that, would be someone not fit for society in any case.

Bring it on?

No thanks.

An illness does not differentiate between r and K. So there is two choices:

– either the illness is widespread enough that the subsequent world can no longer support itself -> favours K selection.

– Or the world survives as is, but culling the population randomly will favour r-selection since they reproduce faster.

As plague overtakes Western Civ I sincerely hope the nuclear plants are well stocked and barricaded. Potassium Iodide can get really expensive.
