President Trump still presses the Overton Window by stating the K-strategist position:
President Trump on Friday slammed the military judge who spared disgraced US Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl jail time.
“The decision on Sergeant Bergdahl is a complete and total disgrace to our Country and to our Military,” the commander-in-chief tweeted from aboard Air Force One while on his way to a 13-day trip to Asia.
Had he not said anything, that Overton Window would have been skewed by the judge’s ruling. President Trump is a master at molding the population to be K.
It is infuriating. This fuckhead walked off his post to create a stir, because he felt his superiors weren’t listening to his complaints enough, and he got good men, and even a good service dog killed and wounded. Then he said he respected the Taliban more than the US Government, while his trial was going on. Now he will probably get book and movie deals, capped with a professorship at some left wing college where he will rail against everything the US does, from the perspective of a soldier who was wronged by his country.
I take solace in one thing. When you learn to read faces, little things in pictures suddenly jump out at you. Case in point, the nasolabial line on the Talibani in this photo:
Add to it the way the arm is casually draped over Bergdahl’s shoulder, without any need to physically grab with the hand to control him. That comes from knowing from experience that he could tell Bergdahl to do anything and he would do it. You can bet that there are memories in Bergdahl’s head which will haunt him in nightmares for decades to come. I’m not sure if given the choice, I would have given Bergdahl jail time, if the alternative was a lifetime of memories of the Taliban setting up a train on his ass, and then posing with their little boy-toy for photos afterward so they can show their disbelieving friends proof of the night they all spent in cornholutopia with an American prisoner.
Some memories can be worse than a jail sentence, and I would imagine Bergdahl’s would be exhibit A of such memories. And to have them given to such a mentally damaged rube, that was so narcissistic that he felt his superior officers should have been listening to him, is just priceless.
