Paxton Jackson Replies On r/K’s Importance

His reply is here:

Like r/K strategy theory, this explains how people corrupt their own organizations, but not the cause. The fundamental cause is a failure of hierarchy, usually brought on by many sustained threats, and its replacement with an order based on social concerns, like what is popular and who wants to do what.

The West has avoided this realization for some time because it means that we are the source of our own failure, and that we must actually change in order to fix it, including rejecting the idea of equality. External “this just did it to us” theories make it easy for the individual to continue his path of hubris without accepting responsibility for the role of individualism in our decline.

He makes good points, but I still disagree, (which is good because I have a feeling this feud is good for both of our sites’ traffic.)

I think that conditions favoring r-selection are the cause, and even what we are battling against, even more than the leftists themselves. That environmental situation is what leads to these bad decisions being made, because it alters the brains of enough deciders within the group to produce the bad decisions, and produce the leftism.

If ideology is a result of brain structure (and according to amygdala-research it appears to be), and brain structure is altered by environment (and it would appear to be as well), then the environment would appear to be responsible for programming brains, and producing the decisions they make. If that is a reality, you have to accept it, to function effectively when it comes to producing change.

Thus, if you look at the war as being against r-stimuli, one of the bigger answers is to introduce K-stimuli, be it compulsory military service, coming of age ceremonies involving stressful trials to overcome, imbuing childhood with competitive stimuli, punishing single mothering and illegitimate birth, and so on.

I also think this highlights part of the problem when it comes to getting r/K adopted more widely.

Paxton has that K-selected programming, and that imbues the warrior drive to get in there and take action. The idea that you might have to sit on your hands, or not go for the win straight out feels wrong. The idea that things might happen that are out of your control is something warriors are not programmed to contemplate, because the K-selected environment that you are designed for is one where hesitation gets you killed. This K-programming is focusing his amygdala more on avenues where he can attack, and it is deprioritizing concepts which imply that an attack should not be made, or that attacking might not be productive.

My own opinion is that r/K is a vital part of the process, and it must be understood because I think our battle must be seen as a genetic, Darwinian battle to populate our species with our kind, rather than a battle to save civilization. The dystopian nightmares of Brave New World and 1984 can happen, if we let our species slip toward a more r-selected gene-ratio, because biology is the hidden force behind it all. Civilization is the battle, but the genes populating our species are the war. I think that is why the left has tried to make any such idea utterly forbidden, and why someone postulating it, as I am here, is so utterly triggering for the left. They want us to ignore the genes, and treat everyone as equal, because if we do, they win. If we identify leftist genes as something to be minimized within our populations, they lose.

If you view r-selected times and K-selected times, and accept the powerful effects these environments have on outcomes, you will recognize that there will be times when K’s will make enormous gains by being K. But there will also be times when K’s could end up purged for being K, or even just discriminated against enough to negatively impact survival and reproduction, simply because the resources are flowing enough to make being K a disadvantage.

Look at us today. Bruce Jenner is splashing himself across magazines, decked out in women’s lingerie, and the cultural judges are cheering him. That is an environmental shift that will change outcomes for people who are K and it is not a decision. You can’t argue it logically with the rabbits. It is just happening, driven by the forces which are the prime drivers behind everything to come. Recognize r/K and you see where this leads You will realize your efforts are better spent preparing, because what is coming will be what could best be described as God’s wrath – and it will take care of all the “bad deciders” all by itself.

In the process, by surviving until the real K-selected psychology returned with force, you will also be in a position to actually have a hand in returning our culture to it’s K-selected roots, and restoring order and civility to our society once the wreckage has stopped, and the process of rebuilding begins.

But that will happen more because the environment became harsh and remodeled brains, than because any one person catalyzed a logical revolution during a period of high r-selection.

r/K is the force which is driving these events. Increasing genetic survival and reproduction above that of the rabbits is the war we should be focused on fighting, and we should be using r/K to do that. Accepting r/K means you can exploit it, and guide your efforts to have the greatest effect possible.

Just imagine if Donald Trump had run for President in a time of high r. He could have gone down in history as another Barry Goldwater. Instead he timed his ascent perfectly, and will end up being remembered as another George Washington. r/K is a tool which can help guide those decisions, and bring those who use it immense success.

Spread r/K Theory, because you have to grasp the forces at work on the battlefield to gauge where best to attack

The battle against the r-genes. That really is the only fight there is.

Pitcrew,

Which genes have been identified as ‘r-genes’? Citations?

Does it get tiring repeating the same things that have been rebutted by myself and numerous other people?

How do you see the role of democracy in r/K?

Paxton tells us to: “including rejecting the idea of equality” of which the natural consequence is to do away with democracy.

The problem here is he is saying “when the group gets to big” blah blah blah… and doesn’t consider other groups at other sizes…. or the fact of “why do some decide it is time to protect the group, instead of doing the groups mission?”….. I think r/K explains most of that…..
What he is saying isn’t wrong, he is just looking at the 10th domino going “and this is why all the others after it fall” Missing that r/K might be the first…. (it also might be the 8th or 9th…. like all good science, it should stand until shown otherwise and then be properly adjusted. See Newton and Einstein and Higgs… one started our understanding, the other two refined it as they discovered discrepencies)

Nearly all commenters I’ve seen criticising r/K and even some people in r/K discussion groups don’t get the following concept:

There is many human constructed layers to our society/humanity involving religions, ideals, morals, laws, knowledge, politics etc. The big mistake is that they all try to see how r/K fits into these human worlds. What they miss is that there is a primeval (nature constructed) base level from which all the layers of society are layered upon. This base layer is where r/K operates, which then the results of r/K filters up into all the human constructed layers above.
