Thad Cochran Is Getting Flaky

In a flashback, he confesses to being indecent with animals:

Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) provided his latest head-scratching comment in public, this time joking he engaged in illicit activities with animals as a child.

“[We’d] get back [to the Pine Belt-Hattiesburg area of Mississippi] as often as we could because it was fun–it was an adventure to be out there in the country and see what goes on,” Cochran said of his childhood and how parts of his family lived in the central part of the state. “Picking up pecans, from that to all kind of indecent things with animals.”

Once Deep State surveillance has video of that, you’re a shoe-in for Senate. I’m surprised he wasn’t President.

But now he starts to show real flakiness:

Mississippi GOP Sen. Thad Cochran insists that he is not retiring from Congress, despite widespread speculation about the veteran lawmaker’s health and political future.

The 79-year-old Cochran appeared frail and at times disoriented during a brief hallway interview on Wednesday. He was unable to answer whether he would remain chairman of the Appropriations Committee, and at one point, needed a staffer to remind him where the Senate chamber is located.

Still doesn’t resolve whether the bestiality thing was an accidental revelation of truth. But he is suffering with recurrent UTI’s:

Mississippi Republican Sen. Thad Cochran remains ill and won’t return to his Senate duties Monday as was expected, his office announced.

The 79-year-old’s absence raises doubts about the ability of GOP leaders to pass a key budget resolution — a vote is planned later this week — that is needed to advance tax reform, a top legislative priority for Republicans and President Donald Trump.

“Mrs. Cochran informed me late Saturday night that Senator Cochran has developed another urinary tract infection,” said the statement from Cochran’s chief of staff Brad White. “After a day of monitoring his condition, and on the advice of his physicians and other health care professionals, Senator Cochran has postponed his return to Washington. He will continue his recuperation at home in Mississippi.”

UTI’s can often accentuate dementia symptoms:

UTIs can cause distressing behavior changes for a person with Alzheimer’s. These changes, referred to as delirium, can develop in as little as one to two days.

What this might reveal is that Cochran is in the early stages of dementia, and the UTIs are triggering an enhanced presentation. It wouldn’t be surprising. A pharmacist who serves congress has implied some members have been filling scripts for Alzheimer’s medications.

He should be alright for now, but the Party needs to begin looking at replacing him at a time and place of our choosing.

It also raises an interesting question of whether senility might atrophy and degrade amygdalae, and drive individuals even more leftward than they were initially.
