That is amygdala pain, and a sign there is a real amygdala trigger laying under the surface.

Authorities are searching for a man they say set his pregnant girlfriend on fire, all while her two children stood and watched. According to WSVN, Hialeah police say 32-year-old Noel Grullon doused his girlfriend with gasoline and lit her on fire, causing second degree burns to her body. Police say it happened shortly after Grullon and the victim got into an argument on Thursday.

Notice the warmer right side smile, and the increased pain in the eyes on the left side.

This face could actually serve as a good trainer on spotting pained smiles, like on the left, vs somewhat regular smiles, like on the right. Take away the mouth on the left side, and he could almost be crying. Of course what really jumps out are the douchy eyebrows which I always associate with leftists trying to give the perception they are already in such pain it isn’t worth your time to hurt them. He corrected that on the right, but not as much on the left.

It is also a good trainer for seeing the dichotomy in one face. Ultimately you want to look at the face, feel the pain on the left jump out at you (it turns my stomach some, but I know what it represents), check the right and not see it as much, and realize he may have problems of some sort that he has adapted to hide, but which are great enough he can’t do it well.

Bear in mind, the left side is being corrected by him, because he is conscioulsy trying to smile. It is merely less corrected than the right. So if he were not trying to smile, those eyes and eyebrow would be even more fucked up, and you would see the real pain which lay beneath – and which, when appropriately triggered, will make him douse his pregnant girl in gasoline and touch her off with a match in front of her children. This dude is insane, and the torment his amygdala will lay on him at a moment’s notice can make him do anything.

Pain when smiling is a huge warning sign, because it is the real personality shining through. It just usually happens to bleed through on the weaker side more than the strong. You can learn to see that in many cases, and given the insanity today, that is a powerful ability.
