Three gay men say they have gained legal recognition as the first ‘polyamorous family’ in Colombia, where same-sex marriages were legalized last year. Actor Victor Hugo Prada and his two partners, sports instructor John Alejandro Rodriguez and journalist Manuel Jose Bermudez, have signed legal papers with a solicitor in the city of Medellin, establishing them as a family unit with inheritance rights.
If you are an r-strategist, you have no established norms for mating or pair-bonding behavior. You also have little care for how children are raised. Perhaps you were even raised with a low-investment rearing experience yourself, so you do not understand the importance of a mother and a father in a stable loyal relationship.

The most frightening part is, r and K are a scale, and it would appear that even as K begins its return, the r-segment of our populace will probably go more r itself, before all of this is turned around. Should the trend toward r continue, we may easily envision a future in which the federal government begins to offer taxpayer-funded programs (because what are you gonna do about it?) whereby pedophiles are allowed, within certain parameters, to discreetly relieve their urges with young children.
At first, willing parents will receive monthly federal stipends, debt forgiveness, or preferential treatment for their participation in these programs. Many will do it simply to offer their young as a burnt offering on the altar of diversity, compassion, inclusion and tolerance, because those poor pedosexuals. The unwitting candidates for these compassionate programs will most often be the adopted children of same sex or transgendered single parents or couples.
Meanwhile, Joe and Jane Smith in Suburbia, USA will hear of this on the news. They’ll fearfully look one another in the eye and reassure each other that as long as they don’t force us to offer Joe or Jane Jr., we’ll be ok.
The next morning, they receive a letter in the mail…
