Google is looking to rank websites based on “truthfulness,” as defined by Google, not the degree of popularity and links the websites gain through the benefits users decide they offer. They justify this based on how anti-vaccine websites are popular, but are spreading “disinformation.” Of course the first effect of this will be to encourage all websites to parrot whatever Google says is is “truth,” as a sort of active SEO strategy. And you thought Panda was bad?

We pay a lot of attention to how SJWs use entriest/infiltration tactics to infiltrate organizations with social authority, and then pervert them to serve their SJW causes. However the SJW is a sort of social animal, filled with instincts that produce that behavior, but limited in their ability to fight such a battle logically and intelligently, and limited in the resources to organize a broad scale, coordinated attack. They are an army of individual idiots with instincts suited to the battle, but in the end the organization of their attack is more akin to a herd of cats that happens to move in the same general direction.
Now read the second article Vault-Co links to in this post, and imagine an intelligence agency, filled with intelligent sociopaths who have our aggression and desire to win, no moral or instinctual urges driving any sort of white-knight tendencies toward honor or decency, and a thorough understanding and practical ability to employ SJW entriest/infiltration tactics.
Now imagine such an organization with seemingly unlimited resources, able to fund any operation they desire. They intelligently identify keystone organizations within the social order and keystone positions within those organizations. They infiltrate their people into them, having them take the jobs as if normal citizens. They then use those keystone positions to get their people hired into all of the positions of power within the organization, so they have total control of it.
It would take SJWs years, if not decades, to destroy the organization. Imagine how much faster a well trained intel agency could simply turn the organization to their purposes. Pretty soon anybody who claimed such a thing was even possible would be derided by all the social machinery as some sort of nutjob conspiracy theorist, whose writings would occupy the final two pages of a 5 million hit Google search.
Would he be crazy?
Anticipating a criticism here: people will read this and think you’re nuts because most intel agency people (that they’ve met) are intelligent, conscientious technocrats like Snowden. These are merely cogs in the greater machine, working for Mom, America, apple pie, and a nice paycheck. But who sets NSA policy? Who chooses the operational targets? Not Snowden.
You are right, and I never meant to say the ground-level workers in intel agencies are somehow evil. But large agencies take on lives of their own. I firmly believe the Waco raid could have been handled in such a way as to get the women and children out alive. But as those horse trailers rode up, events were set in motion which led to a pretty horrific result in the end, and I am not sure the fault can all be laid on Koresh.
Likewise, I think as the machinery is installed to effectively combat terror, people who should never be let within a country mile of it will immediately flock to get into a position to direct it. For some reason the solid people who would use it responsibly will just focus on doing a good job, and they will become the very powerful machine that is wielded by the politicians. Once the politicians are in control, they will bend the rules as a matter of course, and then bend them ever more to prevent anyone from holding them to account.
I am pretty sure someday Americans will look back in shock and horror at how far our surveillance state went. And I suspect before that, horrific deeds will be done at the direction of the politicians to try and keep the secrets of what has been built up from escaping to the masses.
