I am struck by this comment:

That is amygdala. When the amygdala overloads, especially on narcissists, they become like autistics, and cannot make eye contact, because they cannot handle all the amygdala activation that occurs as the eyes send a live, hopping feed of action and information to the amygdala for scanning. So they look to a place where there isn’t any data to turn on the amygdala. As she got angrier, and took off into a tirade, her amygdala went on overload, and her brain just felt better when she looked down, and lightened the load on the amygdala that way. I would not be surprised she didn’t even know she was doing it. That chick is damaged goods.
