GOP Lobbiest Who Examined Seth Rich Murder Attacked

A Republican lobbyist currently supporting a Trump aide charged over the Russia probe told Wednesday how he was pepper sprayed and punched by a masked man in his driveway.

Jack Burkman told DailyMail.com he was doused in the face with spray and struck on the head by an unknown assailant who pulled up in a black SUV outside his home at 7:25pm on Tuesday, in what he said was a ‘professional hit’.

The attacker then sped off. The lobbyist suffered burns to his face following the attack.

Burkman hosted a fundraiser last month for Rick Gates, 45, a long-time business associate and protégé of Paul Manafort…

He also launched his own investigation into the murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich…

He said he had left home on foot at 6.45pm to buy dinner at his local Safeway and was returning home around 45 minutes later when it happened.

He said that there was a ‘black or dark green’ SUV parked in the driveway but that he didn’t notice it until it was too late.

‘A guy got out with a mask on. I described it to police as a ‘bank robber mask’ – beige or white, like you might see on Halloween,’ Burkman said.

‘He gets out, he hits me with pepper spray, he hits me on the head and we have a scuffle. I push him, he pushes me and I run away screaming. Then he gets in the car and goes off.

‘My guess is somebody watched me leave and waited for me to come back. This was a professional hit, I could tell by the car, it was some kind of pristine SUV. The guy knew exactly what he was doing.’

I would have massaged that story before retelling it, maybe forgetting about the piercing girly screams I emitted as I ran away for my life down the street, but that is just me. Now this poor bastard has this immortalized on his permanent google record.

This was not a hit. A Deep State hit would have been more organized, better prepared, more lethal, and probably not directly confrontational.

It is possible that this was some sort of distraction in the midst of a Deep State operation while he was out. If he had begun to discover something that would have produced an event that would have had unacceptable outcomes, they might have had one operator swoop in and do this to redirect the target’s attention away from whatever he had been about to uncover. If someone had broken into his house to copy his computer files, and was about to be discovered by him, they might use something like this to distract and occupy the target while the burglar exfiltrated, but even this seems too direct a method.

I would have expected them to have foot surveillance get hit by his car and play dead in the street, or have another vehicle arrange what would seem like an innocent car accident to delay him, rather than amp up his paranoia like this and potentially involve local LE with an open assault right near his house. Plus, Deep State has the resources and comms so that they would have known the moment he began returning home, so he wouldn’t have been about to surprise anyone.

This could be a less well financed operation by some private player, though. That’s a double edged sword, because they could also be looser cannons, and try to take him out where pros would play it slower.

If I was him, I would still dump my fridge, candy, and any other stored food or fluids while I was at it. And change my bedding. That is why Donna Brazille has her entire house, including the interior, covered by surveillance cameras that are powered by an uninterruptable power supply with live onsite power generation as backup, should the pole power be cut. It is the only way to know your food was not touched.

It is tough to say what is going on here. But whatever it is, we live in interesting times lately.
