I have no problem with gays if they leave me alone, but clearly, as a simple matter of fact, they are going to be dropping like flies in the pandemic phase of the Apocalypse:
Men who have sex with men (MSM) are two percent of the population but make up 55 percent of people who were HIV-positive in 2013, according to a CDC fact sheet released last Wednesday.
More than nine out of 10 new HIV diagnoses (92 percent) come from young gay and bisexual MSM, ages 13 to 24.
If these trends continue, one of every six men who has sex with men will be diagnosed with AIDS in his lifetime. Already, 15 percent of all HIV-positive homosexuals and bisexuals don’t know they are infected, the government agency said.
“Gay and bisexual men are also at increased risk for other STDs, like syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia,” the CDC added.
The CDC reported that men who have sex with men are 44-times more likely to contract HIV than heterosexual males, and 40-times more likely than women. Earlier this year, the CDC estimated that half of all black MSM will get the disease, a statistic that is repeated in the latest fact sheet.
AIDS is not a difficult disease to avoid. Even if I were gay, I am pretty confident I could be gay and avoid it easily. The coming pandemic will probably be hard to avoid. It will require that you actively take aggressive measures to avoid it. Imagine how that will spread among gays, who right now could almost turn arm-amputations into an uncontrollably spreading pandemic.
The really interesting thing to watch will be Zika, because if we see that spread aggressively now, which I assume it will, we will be watching a measure of the burn rate of the next lethal pathogen.
If Zika, as a poorly transmissible pathogen, burns as aggressively as it probably will, you will be seeing the main reason people have historically tended to want to keep their distance from gays. Homophobia is an evolved trait for a reason. If the next pathogen can be spread sexually, and spread by normal contact like a Flu virus, those who do not avoid gays will probably be culled as aggressively as the gay population.
That is a prescription for rapidly de-rabbitizing a population, and it explains why Y. pestis produced the Renaissance.
Sometimes the future looks incredibly dark, but the truth is all paths lead to an Renaissance. We just need to make sure we survive the chaos that is coming to see it.

That’s the catch-22, though, isn’t it? If you are equipped to avoid it easily, you wouldn’t be gay.
Homosexual behavior, in our culture, is an inherently risk-taking culture. It’s a risk-based perversion, correlated almost entirely with binge drinking, heavy drug abuse, and violence. Even if you were to avoid it when you were sober, you would undoubtedly get blackout drunk and high on a regular basis, and either end up ignoring your own precautions because of your compromised state, or just find yourself being flat out raped.
I’m pretty confident that you can’t be gay and a part of the gay culture while still avoiding AIDS.

Personally, I’m finding the accelerating hysteria going on all around us bewildering and quietly terrifying. People appear to be going stark raving nuts.

Oh yeah. They’ll really begin screaming once the banks announce a temporary hold on all funds, “While they sort things out.”
But things will shift K, and I expect shortly into the Apocalypse the K-guys will be the ones everybody wants to be friends with.
My main fear is Trump might be just smart enough to stave off the Apocalypse for a long time. In that case yeah, we may have problems, unless his rhetoric K-ifies the population some by humiliating liberals into submission.

……due to the English language twists, but my belief after decades is that homosexuality is not an inherited trait but a learned one: “Homosexuals in America are not born, but Created.”
I’m not sure why you think zika will spread aggressively. From what I’ve read, it lasts about a week in the bloodstream, mostly transmitted by mosquitoes, rarely sexually.
I’m increasingly convinced that K-selected people should relocate to areas with hard freezes in the winter. Many diseases transferred by flying insects — not ticks, unfortunately — and many biting snakes/spiders/scorpions cannot survive a hard freeze.
Are there any diseases spread by insects, such as those nasty black flies, in areas with long, cold winters?
I don’t know about disease from black flies. But winters will be hard work if fuel oil deliveries disappear. Make sure you have a harvestable forest near by, and be ready to can like crazy in the event food deliveries become spotty.
Zika will last longer than a week in the body, though the immune system will probably mop it from the bloodstream quickly. I’m thinking gays will be fast spreaders once it makes it in there, and once it hits the AIDS population, there is no telling what it could emerge as. They made a version of MRSA that could invade healthy skin, just by landing on it.
Remember when AIDS in heteros was reportedly doubled (it went from 1 to 2 people) [jk] and Africa would be entirely depopulated by AIDS by 2015?
