So we may be getting closer to the bottom of that UPS charter that unloaded 30 bus loads of people at night at the Harrisburg, Penn Regional airport. This was broadcast as Minute Memo #201.
Our fearless commenters provided some great information. It turns out that UPS has converted a few planes for passengers as charters. There are several articles on this if you do a search on it.

No way! Middle of the night, landing at rotating small regional airports, they quickly jump on common charter buses. TV cameras will never be there.
And just look at the numbers. Everyone is getting all excited about Obama saying he would bring in 10,000 refugees from Syria.
In the first 5 years of the Obama presidency, the U.S. gave out green cards to over 680,000 immigrants from predominantly Muslim countries.
How are they flying the refugees in? I have yet to see any indication of how they are arriving. MY guess is they are hiding it because these are all Military Aged Males with thousand yard stares.
Video at the link. We need to get on UPS (UPS Twitter is @UPS), and figure out if they are helping the administration avoid media scrutiny of this. The radioactive nature of immigration right now would probably make UPS either deny the claims and put it to bed, or stop doing it to avoid the backlash.
Either way, the administration packing refugees on UPS package delivery planes like sardines to smuggle them in during the middle of the night to random airports makes the immigration program look like an illegal, Iran-contra op that even Obama is afraid of letting people see. The optics are just horrendous. The subconscious associations would be amazing, if it were publicized. It is one thing to fly them in openly on American Airlines, but this makes it look like even Obama is ashamed of this, and is trying to hide it. Obama trying to hide this needs publicity.
Apocalypse cometh™ for the refugee program, if this is true.

Supposedly UPS denies this occurred to an unknown blogger, though even the source for the denial is questionable, as UPS has no official statement I could find.
That said, it is possible that both, the eyewitness was right, and UPS wasn’t involved. Here is a crazy idea. Fedguv Intel (DHS, FBI, etc) routinely mark up their vehicles with business logos in an effort the stay off the radar – meaning their vehicle maintenance divisions are actually geared up to regularly paint up any vehicle from a tractor trailer to a minivan. They do it often to their passenger vehicles to, in their parlance, change the silhouettes of their vehicles. Last week you saw a grey Chevy SUV, so obviously that black one today was a totally different vehicle and you are not a target at all. They won’t do it weekly, but combined with vehicle rotations between teams it can keep the silhouettes of your team very fresh, essentially doubling the number of vehicle silhouettes at their disposal each year with just one repaint, and tripling it with two. If you are mob, it is one thing to wonder if you have a six man team watching you. It becomes more likely to be dismissed if you’ve seen eighty or a hundred vehicles, as an eighty or hundred man team seems too improbable.
Often they add logos for businesses. The idea being that in high-risk surveillance, logos make good cover, as they automatically imply, “not surveillance.” Nobody is going to think an 18-wheeler with Roadway or Penske written all over it, parked in a car park with the driver checking his tires is actually an FBI surveillance guy with a fully tricked out surveillance vehicle. Likewise, if you see a van drive by your house with the logo of a prominent plumbing company, nobody calls the plumber to make sure it was his van driving by. Your response to each of those vehicles will be different from what it would be if you saw a black Chevy SUV with two guys in it with tinted out windows.
If Obama has tasked the Fedguv/Homeland Security/LE Intel machine with bringing in these refugees covertly, and secrecy is important to the mission, I would not put it past them to have planes painted up with the UPS logo which would normally be used to move FBI HRT or some Drug Task Force into some hotspot without drawing a lot of attention. If the Macheteros hit Puerto Rico and took over the airport, the FBI doesn’t bring in it’s shooters on an plane with an FBI logo. They could easily end up landing in a UPS painted plane that would taxi to offload its “packages” around the corner, out of sight. That plane would be taken from the Fedguv LE Intel/Surveillance transportation fleet.
This bears investigation, and increased scrutiny in search of an easy score, though if LE Intel is doing this and not UPS it may require more creativity to expose than is worth the effort. A better strategy might be to ask how they are being brought in.

I just checked the allocations, and sure enough, UPS has an airframe in the pax allocation, which is why they would have a plane refitted as a charter plane.

Here’s the real stab in the back — the purpose of the CARF is to give the military airlift capability. A lot of our ability to run cargo and troops overseas is by CARF charters. In return for doing this government contract work, the fleet is arranged so that the airline can’t lose money on the deal. We are giving UPS a guaranteed government profit on that airframe… so that we can be stabbed in the back and have invaders sitting in the seats our troops are supposed to be sitting in.
Actually, I misread the allocation. The entire team UPS is on is allocated in the box on the spreadsheet, UPS has 14 cargo configured MD10s on the team, but not pax aircraft.
Of course, this is for April 2015. We’ll see what happens to the allocation when the October numbers are released.
This can’t be real. It has to be some kind of joke. Flying in thousands of refugees in the dead of night sounds like some scifi dystopian 1984 novel.
I would have thought so too, but then I wondered, how do they fly the refugees in, and where to they arrive? I could see how Obama would be very eager to keep a flood of young male middle easterners from being photographed coming in like foreign soldiers with rucksacks. I’m sure they arrange the flights to avoid scrutiny, the only question is how. UPS? Maybe. Maybe some other way.
The questions should be asked, because if it can be answered easily, no harm no foul. But if they are hiding it, they immediately look guilty by their own actions, and that would taint the entire process. It would be an easy field goal to score, with very little cost.

An Airbus A380-800 can seat 853. A Boeing 747-400 can seat up to 660. That is getting close to your 900 and I am going to assume not all of the buses are going to the same final destination nor do they need to be filled to capacity. Just some thoughts.
