Minor Changes Coming to Evopsych

In probably a month the third edition of Evopsych will come out. It may take a while for Amazon to sell out of the second addition, and stock the third. The third edition will not be significantly different between the covers. There will be a few paragraphs added to the chapter on the appeasement strategy, which will describe leftism as beginning as simple increased reproductive rate, progressing to avoidance of competition, and then progressing to migration. It will then touch on it evolving to express the migrant urges without migrating to gain advantage over fellow citizens in places like the first world, when relative K closes in but migration elsewhere will not produce an increase in resource availability.

The big difference will be the new cover. A while back BetterBookCovers@gmail.com sent a potential cover to me which was just too beautiful to not buy. The new cover will look like this:

I have always felt as if Evopsych was more God’s work than any individual’s. Timing, chance encounters, random events, and other synchronicities have always fallen into place at the exact right moment to produce the exact right effect at the most opportune time. I knew the cover needed a replacement a while back, but I figured God would supply one when the time was right, and it would be great. It was.

I have also always assumed because of God’s involvement, that one day Evopsych will be seen as the most important book in political science, and I suspect it will be that important for the remainder of the human race’s existence.

I actually believe that the biological mechanisms it describes are probably so conserved, even between different evolutionary lines on different planets, that if aliens landed here from another galaxy, they would see things explained in their civilization’s development which even they had not thought of.

If you are a highly technologically advanced species that dominates your planet, your species has probably evolved so much faster than all of your planet’s other species for a specific reason. It combined r and K in the same way the human race has, to create enormous numbers of individuals during self-created gluts, only to then periodically cull them aggressively for quality with self-created culling. You’d create enormous numbers of options and variables (r) and then you’d cull them all with K for the absolute best of the best before repeating the process endlessly.

So Zoroastrians from just off the belt of Orien probably have leftist imbeciles trying to sell their people out to the violent and primitive Krull migrants they keep trying to import from the nearby Zorgon nebula. Those Zoroastian K-strategists would probably be awed by Evopsych, if God hadn’t already had the same idea sprout up and spread there.

So if you have an older edition of Evopsych, I’d say keep it. I would be surprised if it isn’t a collectible one day, given there are not that many out there. I’ll post the full text of the chapter that is updated here, so you can check it out. However if you have been here for any amount of time, you will certainly already know everything added.

Spread r/K Theory, because I think the entire thing is finally done

I can tell your theory will become important because despite all my crazy cucky rabbity resistance to it at first, the obvious truth of it eventually gutted me. I hate the wars and deprivation you foresee, but thanks to you I expect it now, know it’s inevitable. I still wish you weren’t right, but what does reality care about my wishes.

Asking not-so-humble question here. Are you going to include any of the tv/lit references that I emailed before? The two star trek episodes were good-ish (mostly TOS and early TNG). But Game of Thrones has an uncanny amount of r/k symbolism in it.

Hey Nathan

I’m a great fan of Game of Thrones. I don’t see the r/k theme though?
