FOX’s Judge Andrew Napolitano Says Some Centipedes Will Die In Jail

I am sure a few people here think I am crazy for portraying such a bleak picture for American Freedom. Factor in that I am a bright guy with powerful skills of observation and deduction, and other bright people are seeing it too:

Judge Andrew Napolitano, a senior judicial analyst for Fox News, was a guest lecturer last week at Mises University in Auburn Alabama. During an opening lecture where he discussed natural rights, the development of the Constitution and footnote 4 of United States v. Carolene Products Co., he closed the question and answer period following his lecture by saying he saw dark clouds coming for the country and warned the students that some of them may die in government prisons by standing faithful to first principles.

My guess is he had a shocking realization when he saw “it,” and now he realizes what it means. If they don’t care enough to hide, and they are doing it openly to enough people who have public audiences, it means they believe that we are not going to be a threat regardless of whether we know or not, because when the heat gets hot enough they will just take over completely, and take us all out. In many ways, humans are the same the world over, and those who seek power are probably exactly the same from place to place.

To that end, observe Venezuela, because this is what happens when those who are losing power in a democracy go too far, and the choice becomes relinquish power according to the rules, or reach for it all and take out all your enemies:

In a statement announcing the jailing of opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez and veteran politician Antonio Ledezma, the pro-government Supreme Court said they were planning to flee the country and had violated terms of their house arrest by making political statements and speaking to media.

But government opponents called the abrupt removal of the men from their homes by security forces in nighttime raids a sign of Maduro’s determination to silence rivals and stamp out four months of massive street protests against him…

In addition to rewriting the constitution and superseding other institutions, the constituent assembly will have the power to dissolve the opposition-led congress, eliminating any formal political challenge to Maduro.

America will be no different.

The narcotic of ultimate power on one side, and the agony of seeing your enemies enjoying victory over the destruction of your life on the other, leaves human amygdalae with no choice. The outcome is decided before the question even comes up. If you have principle, and think you would decide differently, you would probably not let it get to that point. But if it gets to that point, then those in control are not thinking like you, and the outcome is guaranteed to be bad.

The question is Apocalypse, because everything will depend on it. If it hits soon enough, and everyone is in high amygdala, and government resources are crushed, freedom stands a pretty good chance. If not, the outcome is anyone’s guess, since the files they have on everyone are a massive intelligence advantage. I suspect they could take out everyone who might oppose the takeover in a week, and not with guns or bombs, but with heart attacks, strokes, and cancers.

Though I must say, God has historically favored those Americans who valued freedom and principle. If forced to bet, I would always bet on Him.

But I would also not assume it will be easy, or that any of us is guaranteed to see the ending.
