The intel game is the wild west:
The Central Intelligence Agency apparently didn’t trust its partners in the American intelligence and created a fake software update to steal their data. Part of an internal project called ExpressLane, the bogus update was installed by the CIA Office of Technical Service (OTS) agents purported to be upgrading the biometric collection system…
The leaked documents suggested that the CIA designed this database in a way that the system would stop to work after six months if a CIA agent doesn’t visit that liaison agency to install an update. The tool appears to be designed to ensure that other agencies were sharing all the collected data with the CIA.
The CIA agent would insert a USB device that runs this ExpressLane tool. However, instead of doing what this app claims to be doing, this tool would collect all the new biometrics data recorded since their last visit. The screen was designed to ensure that if the agent had to install it in front of a partner intelligence officer, they would be shown a “splash screen with a progress bar” like an authentic installation and not a covert collection operation.
I imagine the other agencies would just view this as a boss move they wish their agencies had the balls to pull. It is funny when nobody gets worked up about it because they all play the same games.
I remember one of the main protagonists on the old TV show The Agency saying, “There is a strange comfort in not being able to trust anyone around you.” He was right. Not wondering what rules you should be using because there are no rules can be one of the biggest amygdala-relaxants.
Still, I wonder if CIA was pulling any data on US civilians in areas where they were not supposed to be operating. It would be one thing if it was CIA doing it for national security reasons, but if it was Muslim convert and leftist partisan John Brennan, that is another issue. That would have been trouble.
More and more you realize how lucky we were to avoid having Hillary take the Presidency.
Tell everyone about r/K Theory, because there are no rules anywhere
They were spying on the Jesuits in the FBI. Little did they know they were doing it for Muslims. The Muslims and Jesuits are on the same side btw.
